    Luminess Air Makeup Trial

    Hello fellow Tumblr peeps!

Today I am going to share some of the recent shots I made before and after using the Luminess Air Makeup System.

This is actually my 2nd time to try out my hands on Luminess Air. I am still in the process of mastering how to really navigate the system especially on putting makeup on thy face. I honestly think it is quite a challenge for newbies especially in pulling out the trigger of the airbrush gun, how much makeup to spray on the face, or other techniques unknown yet (to me).

I don’t have any overall ratings or reviews on the Luminess Air as of the moment. I am planning to do a comprehensive review on Luminess Air + Dinair system when I will get a hold of the latter.

As for now, here are the photos I’d like to share to you all. Products used will be mentioned below. No edits or whatsoever. This is under natural lighting during the day. Special thanks to the sun for emitting such wonderful daylight into my windows. :)

(part surrounding my eyebrows are having those white marks due to the concealer i use to smoothen out the edges for a clean look of thy brows——so basically face is not yet done)

    Luminess Air Products:

    - Ultra Airbrush Foundation in Shade 3 + Shade 5

    - Brightening Glow

    - Blush in Tulip 3n

    - Bronzer

    Other products used:

    - Random Brand Concealer in Yellow

    - in2it Brow Cake

    - Fanny Serrano lipstick in Orchid

    - Random brand contouring powder

    - Loreal Super Liner in Carbon Gloss

    - The Color Workshop Eyeshadow

    - Victoria’s Secret Very Sexy palette in Fierce

Never will I use velcro rollers again! They never work to give me curls nor give me that voluminized hair after using it. Oh well, time to invest in hot rollers? We shall see.

Here are a few tips that I think might be helpful if you’re new to airbrushing based on my experience. I admit I am still new to airbrushing and learning but I guess it is not bad to share some quite a few of my experiences. Allow for about 5 minutes for the first layer of the airbrush foundation to try if you are going for high-coverage. Layering while the foundation on your face is still wet will result in cakey-ness. We don’t want that to happen! So depending on how many layers or coverage you are going for, always remember to be patient and let each layer to dry. Here, I tried 3 layers.

Also, in blushing your face using airbrush, 3 drops is enough or even too much for both of your choose. The blush’s color is very intensified so be careful if you are spraying too much. Same goes to the bronzer.

On the photos you are looking at, I didn’t finish my face with a face powder or any powder foundation. Just wanted to see how far the foundation will look like on my face post-airbrushing.

Note to self: I am looking for my HG concealer that I can use before airbrushing my face with the foundation. Also, I shouldn’t forget that I am in a hunt of a good non-silicon primer. What can you recommend? I have also heard good reviews about Kryolan and Graftobian foundation and anti-shine powder so I guess I should consider those on the list, too. But I guess I need to wait more and save more!

    More photos soooooooon.

    Dinair Airbrush Giveaway Winner!

I’m back. You guys might have wondered what’s taking me these days not having to post a lot lately. Well, time constraint is the main culprit. I got 2 sides to share to all of you.

First off, we’re gonna go to the bad side first. The main thing that concerned me lately is that I have products in mind that I wanted to do reviews on. They are in queue…in my mind. From the Yoko sunscreen, to the Avon Clinical eye lifting cream up to the Nichido Minerals eyeshadow I am totally raving about. I got the pictures all ready but the time for me to post a comprehensive review is not granting me to do so. Sigh. Oh well.

Anyway, let’s go to the good side. You might have noticed in one of my previous posts that I am a die-hard fan of Dinair airbrush makeup…especially me seeking it in the Blue Ribbon-colored compressor. Even in my Facebook wall you can see a picture of it! Due to my die-hard dream and the eagerness to join in giveaways, it eventually paid off. Last Wednesday, March 14 2012 PST, I won in Dinair’s Airbrush Makeup system giveaway, specifically from one of the company’s sponsored blogs’, The Broke-Ass Bride. Who would ever thought just posting a comment on a certain blog would make you win not even after a week. Yes! I can’t believe it at first when a representative from Dinair sent me an e-mail. I checked it out and was so dumbfounded. At first, I really had a hard time figuring out if it was some sort of stray e-mail or spam….or whatever. I just had to ask and post a question on Dinair’s official Facebook page. Oh boy did they reply it wasn’t a spam and it was for real. I won and that is finally confirmed! What excited me also is that they had to let me choose what color of the compressor I want! WHAT???? YES. Blue Ribbon all the way, baby! I am yet to receive the system. I had it shipped to Arizona. Hopefully, Arizona to Philippines via FedEx/USPS or Arizona via Hawaiin Airlines :) I can’t wait to get my hands on it!

In the pic is Dinair’s booth at LA’s makeup show with a swarm of candy colors of airbrush system compressors. See that pretty dark blue compressor? It makes me melt right now. Ugh, the excitement.

    Luminess Air Airbrush Makeup System

So today I finally got my Luminess Air airbrush cosmetics system from the mail. This system was originally owned by my college friend, Sybil Sy. She won from the company’s sweepstakes last January and had it shipped here in the PI. After she paid a wholesome amount for the taxes and duties when it reached here in this country’s blasted customs, and used it for a several times, she gave up on this and contacted me if I were interested. I longed to dream about the Dinair airbrush kit especially in blue ribbon-colored compressor. But I think it will take ages for me to save up on one. So this is the best alternative, even though the color of the compressor doesn’t really interest me. Finally, owning my first-ever airbrush makeup system. It’s now in front of me.

I have yet to try this system and see for myself if the results are magnificent or otherwise. I have to watch first the instructional DVD that comes with it. Hopefully I’ll master the application day by day of airbrushing. I smell an upcoming review for this one.

Hope you guys enjoyed looking at the kit as much as I do. Tell me what your thoughts are about airbrush makeup. Yay or Nay? :)
